Jump Start Your Lesson by Practicing
with our Trainer Kite for

Up to 60 days - for
ONLY $10.00 !

Whether on land or in the water, the essence of kiteboarding is the ability to control a kite whose power varies greatly depending on three main factors :

  • The strength of the wind,

  • what part of the "wind window" the kite is in

  • and how fast the kite is moving.

The safest and best way to get basic hands-on experience with these factors is to fly a small 2 line trainer kite in varying amounts of wind.   Also, the trainer's 2 line control bar introduces steering technique without the added complication of a 4 line setup.

For these reasons, we almost always have novices fly a trainer before attempting even small 4 line traction kites.

Although most people can usually start flying a small 4 line kite after 15 to 45 minutes of flying a trainer,  those who fly a trainer for 5 to 20 hours before attempting a 4 line traction kite tend to get much more from their lessons and progress more rapidly  because they now have a basic understanding of how the bigger kites will react in different parts of the sky etc.

Because we're convinced that more trainer practice is one of the best ways to accelerate learning kiteboarding, we try to make it as easy as possible for our clients to get this extra practice before their lesson.

Besides offering a great deal on  new trainer kites, we now let our students RENT a trainer for up to 60 days for ONLY $10.

It works like this:   Give us a $40 deposit and the $10 rental fee (total $50).   If you then pay for any private lesson within 60 days and return the kite undamaged (they are VERY hard to damage), we will refund your $40 deposit.
